The Moroni Mansion

Anderson Family's Mansion.

The location I shot was the Moroni Mansion. The home was built in 1898, and was named so soon after. There were postcards made picturing this house because of it's size and beauty. My great great grandfather built the home, residing there with his family until his death. The home has been occupied by his family members since that time. My grandma raised her large family in the home and lived there until her passing this year. I grew up visiting my grandma in this house, always filled with a lot of love, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The home is still in my mom's family estate as it awaits decision of my cousin to purchase it.

The mural in the library was originally painted by my great great grandmother. The mural and rug have been damaged from wear and time. I was able to correct a few of these problems.

Photos were taken on December 5th, 2010. My family and I traveled to Moroni early, I wanted to be there for mid-day sun so I would have a lot of natural light. It was a nice bright day outside.

The beautifull wood furniture shown is orignal to the home. My great grandfather had it custom built at the time of origination of the home. Three of the pieces shown, the china cabinet, and the other wood cabinet in the T.V room, then also the table shown in the Library were pieces of a custom built set.
